Looking for help with custom post types, meta boxes etc.

Hi guys,

I need some advise on a suitable plugin for a clients website. Not sure if this is the right place to ask, apoligies if not.

What I am looking for is something within my wp install where I can click “add new project” and the page following that will allow me to enter data (such as Images, Client, Location, Type of Project, Benefits to clients, and a summary).

Then I want a drop down form menu, that will be automaticlly add the new project, and be placed in a right side widget area allowing visitors to select which project they would like to see) and it all needs to be styled to the clients website (which uses Etherna theme).

I dont even know where to begin and appreciate any feedback or advise.

Are u looking for a plugin that does that? a developer to do it? or instructions to be done?

As you said, using custom post types you can accomplish what you want. There are dozens of tutorials on Internet to accomplish something similar. For instance:

A developer (as myself) can do it in a while. I am available if you are interested in.

I would prefer a plugin (as mentioned in the OP) as the prices are obviously cheaper than employing a developer to do it, however the plugins i have seen still require some basic php knowledge (which is something I am not capable of.

However, that being said, if no plugin exsists for a complete noob, then I would have to go down the route of employing somebody to do it for me.

I will bear you in mind, for now I am just doing it via pages.
