I know that some of you might be a IK Multimedia and here’s your chance to get this one for very cheap, 29$ (normally $229.99).
To that, you add 2 sound libraries for free !!!!!

I’m more of a Kontakt person, but even to me this is tempting…
That’s an insanely good deal! Thanks for telling us Mihai!
Is this eligible for all IK Multimedia crossgrades? Looks like it lol
Oh there was IK Multimedia newsletter in the mail and it has the same offer with coupon on the official IK Multimedia site
Yeah, great deal. Got the email today, too. Think I’ll go for it. Any special recommendations on the two free SampleTank libraries?

Those sounds pretty decent to my ears, quite a good deal for the price (I mean for this particular, free deal).
Do I need anything else with this? I have Ableton and run all my MIDI through there. Will this simply give me a new synth and a bunch of new sounds? Or do I already need to own some sort of platform specific piece of software? Thanks for any info!
sebastian6 saidThis is a VST plugin. I’m sure that Ableton can use VST plugins.

I would recommend to get the Sampletank Free which runs on the same technology, see how it goes and if everything is ok, go get the Sonic Synth + the 2 free sound libraries for Sampletank (which will work with both I think, Sampletank and Sonic Synth).
I bought it and my first impression: for $29 it’s a great deal! 8GB of sounds, of course a lot of them are a bit outdated but still: great ‘bread and buttersynth’, like Matt/Alumoaudio said in the other thread about IK stuff: a real good ‘workhorse’. Fast, easy to use, very low CPU usage.
Chose the Symphony Strings2 and the Piano Collection2 as free SampleTank refills. Strings are ok, some big differences in sounds, some really good, some rather crappy. Piano collection is not so much to my taste what I tested so far except for some rhodes sounds, they’re really good. But here, Matt said with some tweaking some of those can sound really nice and I will give them a try in the next days….. aaahhh, I need more than 24hours a day!! I guess it’s either drowning in sounds and crawling your way through or buying KOMPLETE , haha
