The obvious point here, is that you said you don’t get the support you feel you deserve, showing that you don’t get the respect you feel you deserve, but then continuing this discussion not in English is not respecting anybody on here who has tried to help.

An insult is this..

Authors can delete their entire portfolio when they want with no explanation to anyone. Author are not required to answer or give support for the items. You can’t ask for this. You can’t purchase an item and expect to have support from the authors after that.

I’m not against the authors. Maybe Envato should implemet a system where we can flag the ones that reply or not. You know, before buying…Never knew a place where someone sell’s something withou having to explain the client his doubts.

I have to disagree with you on this one. If he feels comfortable using his native language and quoting a person to it, in other words, he is directing the message to that person, what is the problem? You can always go to translate.google.com just as I would if I read a german, french, russian post.

Anyway… not here to get in an argument of any sort, just trying to help…

You can’t expect them to act on something they have no knowledge of.
I would prefer to expect them to have knowledge. I have an author that doesn´t communicate and perhaps removed the plugin without notice and Envato doesn’t know ?

You can’t expect Envato to automatically know about an issue you’re having. If you buy something from a shop then find out it doesn’t work, would you expect the shop to automatically know about it and offer a refund, or would you get in touch with them and tell them about the problem?

Would not be better if Envato would be checkin all of this issues and reporting back to buyers with an explanation?

But how would the staff know about these issues? Somebody – usually the buyer – would need to get in touch with them and let them know. There are over 1.5 million items listed on the marketplaces so you can’t realistically expect every one of them to be re-reviewed at regular intervals.

Anyway, the answer here is simple and has been stated many times. Contact support and give them all the details. You can’t refuse to take the necessary steps to get a refund and then complain that you haven’t been given a refund.

I’m having no issue. A plugin i bought and could not make it to work despite all my efforts to reach the author, suddenly disapears. I expect that Envato would know that the plugin no more is available and have a word to the buyers. That’s what i expect.

- why not ? Is this for real ? is this different from a shop that has to check if theyr products are in order to be sold?

“You can’t refuse to take the necessary steps to get a refund and then complain that you haven’t been given a refund.”

I’m only complaining about the Envato refund policy.

So, going back….we buyers have to :

1- Buy 2- If author doesnt reply to your questions, bad luck 3- If the item is faulty, we have to inform Envato and wait for an examination of the situation 7-10 days (you know, time is money) 4- If the item is out of the market, we have to inform envato. (beautiful, it’s like no one knows whats happening inside our house and the argument that Envato is a big house to re.check now and then is simply hilarious) 5 – to get a refund you need to never download the file (beautiful!!!!) or the file was removed 5 days after purchase.

You did not answer my question:

Many asked you to contact support, but from what you say you have already did this and they denied the refund. Is this true?

Hello Doru again.

In this specifi item i did not…yet.

I had a similar issue in a recent past with an author that removed the plugin because he had no condition to continue to develop the plugin. Envato didnt refund me because i didn´t meet theyr criteria….Now i have a plugin that is not responding and no refund . What is funny is that Envato doesn´t checks items, issues go on and on for a long time under the hood, people buying the items and suddenly we are presented with a big problem that is not ours.

I was not going to report this issue to support. Let’s see what is going to happen….as i said before…and from my previous expirence..i dont trust ENvato support and i dont agree with theys refund policy. As i said in Portuguese to another person in this discussion, i will continue to buy only stuff that doesn´t represent a possible complication like plugins do.

The Envato marketplaces are exactly like any other marketplace; they facilitate the means for sellers to sell their goods and for buyers to buy them.

Do you walk into a physical store, purchase an item, leave the store, and expect that store to give you call when the item you purchased is no longer available? Do you expect the store to call you to tell you the manufacturer of the item you purchased is no longer in business? What about Amazon? Do you expect Amazon to do the same thing?

If your answers to the above questions are “no” (and I assume they are), why do you expect different behavior from Envato? There is nothing different, in this respect, between Envato and other retailers—both physical and virtual.
