Hey everyone,
Lately, i’ve had quite a few sales with my Conversion Landing Page so I’m currently thinking of making a WP version of it. However, I’m kinda stuck between two choices:
1. Make the WP Theme directly 2. Make the HTML version of the theme first, upload it and then develop the WP version
From your experience, what do you think it’s best? I must say, one of the reasons I want to put the HTML version up first if that I think it will give me an idea of how many sales the WP version will have (or is that false?) So, I don’t wanna spend alot of time developing WP if it’s not gonna sell in the end. Plus, if I’m doing the WP one, I’m kinda coding the HTML for it first anyways, so I might just make a few extra sales from an asset I already have.
Anyway, you guys think the sales no. of the HTML version is an accurate indicator of the future WP sales or not?
Thanks in advance
Adi
I plan to always produce both a HTML and a WordPress version of my templates because the HTML version is a step in its development that I have to do anyway, so why not make some extra money from it?
Whether you plan to release the HTML version as soon as it’s done and then release the WordPress version afterwards or release them both at the same time or the other way around is pretty much down to your personal choice. I find that the WordPress version of a theme dramatically affects the sales of the HTML version so releasing the HTML first makes more sense.
The risk you run is that the theme will be accepted in one category and rejected in another but there isn’t really anything you can do about that other than work to make the template as good as possible to begin with.
