How often is this site cached?

The reason I ask is because, a reviewer has kindly updated one of my files that I updated via the update queue, yet my new preview is not displaying. How long should users wait before seeing their updated file/preview? I’m wondering if it’s a caching issue. Or, if it should be visible immediately, it’s not working and you might have another bug to contend with.

Well You’re out of the qeue. I’d say, give it a good 24hr. Might be slower because John is working on the site to get those bugs fixed, who knows.

The item preview on the actual item page isn’t cached (but the comments below it are)

The thumbnail previews on the category list pages are cached for a little while, if those haven’t updated in 30mins – 1 hours let us know cos there’s probably been some kind of screw up.

There is a chance that if your file was in the queue while I was trying to update all the item assets that it got left in a wierd state. can you give me the link to the specific item that is causing you problems and I’ll investigate. Hopefully I can fix it, but you may need to re-submit the file. I’ll let you know when I’ve had a look.

Just to confirm—I uploaded an update to switch out the preview graphic (590px wide) so that it had a better watermark than the one that envato adds automatically.

After the update was made by a reviewer, the new preview graphic never went live. It’s now 5 – 6 hours later and the preview graphic still hasn’t updated.
