Just got the email regarding this…
”...we’re going to try changing the pricing dramatically so that Extended Licenses cost just 5x the price. We’ve done some competitive research and believe this price point should generate overall higher sales volume for our authors and for ActiveDen. We’re going to make this change effective on 4th of August 2010.”
Will this be fixed across the board because for several file types such as preloaders its not 50x… ? Is this also just on AD or is this going to be across the Marketplaces (why I put this thread in All Marketplaces initially)
This may generate more sales but I think quite a few buyers miss the x10 multi license… ? How successful was that license type with regards to sales?

Bringing back the multi license seems a good idea although i haven’t been around that long to see it in action.
I think this is good, buyers will buy the extended license more often. I’m guessing about 20 extended licenses are bought a month at the price they are going at now which is pretty dull.

well, the current extended license is a disaster, no idea why it took them so long to figure this out.
Bring back 5x and 10x discounts, I actually made some sales with those.

I think it will definitely increase usage of the license… but perhaps it does undervalue some products quite a bit. Mixed feelings, but it’s probably for the best.

That sounds like good news, I wanted to buy some items from GraphicRiver for my items on ThemeForest, but the extended license was just too much for me.

only from other marketplaces I think…
I agree I think 5x for some of the top end files isn’t enough but then I guess at least they might get a few sales…
