Hi guys
While I was waiting for my last theme to be reviewed (and rejected haha) I started designing a new wordpress theme. I don’t want to make the same mistakes this time, so I before i start to even think about any coding, I want to make sure I have the design completely right!

What do you think? Personally i’m not completely happy with the recent posts bit.
Cheers

no one?
I’ve changed the Recent Posts section now and I’m happier with it. The Post pics will have tool tips with title ect when they are rolled over.
What do you think? I really would appreciate some feedback before I start slicing and coding?
Ok i’ve added a lot to this now.
Please can you give me your feedback before I start coding it.
Let me know what you think, its so much easier to change stuff whiles its still just a psd.
Thanks
Zef
I’m not an experienced designer,, but if I may give my point of view, the navigation bar looks like needs more height,, or make the nav font a little smaller, then down from that the current logo need to be more appealing, gradation color in the blue buttons also seems too contrast for me,, maybe try to make it a little soft, and which font do you use for content and footer links? I think it’s better to not mix a serif and a sans-serif font both in the same level (I guess it’s Trebuchet MS and Georgia?) and it should be in a consistent font size as well (depend on hierarchical level).

Too many fonts IMO , for the sizes, you could use a consistent “scale” (have a look to this article
Hey Zef
I think this is a beautiful theme! Really easy to look at, with the key ingredients in all the right places… nice work!
Perhaps the fonts suggestion is a good one… Although it didnt negatively affect my ‘experience’ at first, it does make it look a bit unnecessarily busy.
Great work though, really.
Thanks for the replies guys.
Your advice is very important to me. Also, Keliah that article is excellent! Thanks for linking up this is something I really need to work on
