I am sure this is a common issues faced by many authors?
what tools/tricks do you use to check whether a .FLA file is saved for which version?
If the file is saved as cs5.5 , even if you have a tool to check it , you can’t open it with cs5 or lower
To resolve this , ask your clients ?
If it’s CS5 .5 or CS5 .0 fla :change name to xxx.fla.zip , You can open it with winrar..
There is DOMDocument.xml -> versionInfo=”Saved by Adobe Flash Windows 1…”
If it’s CS3 or CS4 fla , open it with notepad (I use notepad++) , you can find a string : “Saved by Adobe Flash …..”
Now it’s easy to create a check tool , air + fzip library
hi FlashTang thanks!
Sounds great I will check it out…
Actually I need to identify whether a file is saved for CS3 correctly without having any CS3 installed in our office.
