I’m hoping someone out there has run into this s what seems like a pathing issue. When compiling my viewer.swf file and running locally, it works fine. But when I upload the files to the server, the images don’t show up. The swf is showing without the images. Somehow the XML is not speaking to the AS but hwhen I take a look at the code, it looks fine. I’ve tested it with just the file in t the same level as the XML . Help!
Hello,
did you respect the case in naming the the files ?
Yes. As a test I uploaded the files and structure as given to me and it still didnt work. It the stranges thing since I havent seen any other posts on this issue.

Hi,
As you might know i’m the author of this file. I think in the future it is best if you don’t start a forum topic about this, but just contact me personally or leave a comment on the file’s page.
Anyway, here’s something that might cause your problem:
If your carousel is embedded in, for example, an html page, and the viewer.swf and the html page are not in the same folder, then the reference to the xml file should be relative to the html file, and not the viewer.swf file, as you would expect.
If this doesn’t help, then please contact me by email, because i don’t guarantee being around on the forums enough to notice new posts
What is the optimal number of images to display in Carousel Designer?
Currently we have set it to only 10 images, because if we have too many images, they look too crowded and no more spacing between the images if there are too many.
I am using Carousel Designer in the site I am building YOUKiDZ.COM. You can email me at dexter at youkidz dot com. And I will send you a registration invite.
