I have 2 questios guys.
1. Can i open a Photoshop CS4 file in Photoshop CS2 ?
2. If yes, does photoshop CS2 supports Clipping masks and smart objects?
Ty in advance
1. I am pretty sure you can only use files in higher versions not lower versions, but im not 100% positive.
2. I think so, here it says that it supports smart objects, as for clipping masks, idk.
Hope this helps!
I know i can open photoshop CS5 fileS in CS4 , but not sure about from CS4 to CS2

You can even open CS5 file in CS2 , but if You have used some smart filters or anything else that can’t be done in CS2 , it will dissapear from the file.
I recently bought an item here made in CS5 and tried to open it in CS2 – EVERYTHING disappeared because every layer was saved as smart object.

I think that there will be used something else, because smart objects works in CS2 . Maybe the Author used smart filters on those layers.
i think the clipping mask will be all good but the smart objects especially if they have some perspective or someting you`ll loose all that for sure. If you edint the source graphic everything mess up
