Hey guys!
I just got a domain name for my vCard with hover.com. A close friend recommended it. I am looking forward to buying a .com domain name this time for my portfolio. Which service do you recommend?
And I’m going to host it on mt, onwards. Which plan do you use?
Thanks!

I love name.com for buying domains and hostgator/ (mt) for hosting.. but hosting packages on (mt) depend on the traffic your expecting.. if a few hundred/month then go to the base hosting.

I expect around 100’s of visitors at the beginning but the traffic is sure to increase later on

start with the base model and work up if needed, (mt) can switch things quickly.
EDIT : its a bit different on (mt) because they do things based on CPU time so you could have lots of traffic and little CPU time.. i think its called GPU but its like the same thing, just processing time
i recommend vodahost.com for you it’s ranked #1 in 2009 and 2010 .
For domain registrars I recommend dynadot.com I’ve been using them for quite a long time now , and I find them great so far .
Good luck with setting up your portfolio
.
I suggest Funio.com for domain names and hosting! ( iWeb.com = Funio.com now )
I recommend Dynadot as well.
I’m a reseller with netearthone.com, no problems with them.
Take a look at namecheap.com – imho the best provider.
