the thing ie9 got right is the website randering with the systems video card. i really like how javascript complex transitions are randered with ie9. current firefox dosent rander like this, but firefox 4 beta dose. cant wait for the final version of firefox 4
Well IE 9 is here… Face the fact! Customers are hungry for new features and are of course downloading it.
The inFocus Theme that i bougt does NOT work in IE9 . Headers, Teasers etc is gone or not displayed. Does anyone have a clue why it doesn´t work? OR how to fix it?
// Best regards Fredrik

Try updating cufon
My basic idea is that is why text are going away
Thank´s for your quick response:) I assume it´s the Cufon font, right? How do i update? Any ideas? // Fredrik
Forgot… This seems to be a problem with most of the inFocus sites out there. Same with this site-demo.. //Fredrik
Found this: http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/ Not sure what to do :s //Fredrik
Well i guess my head was out of order
Thank´s a lot for your input on IE9 . It was the Cufon Font Replacement file that was wrong. I downloaded a new file from this location: http://cufon.shoqolate.com/js/cufon-yui.js?v=1.09i and replaced the file in the inFocus theme directory (/public_html/wp-content/themes/infocus/lib/scripts). Things now work fine…

In february, 2011 this percentage of w3schools visitors used the following browsers:2011 Total IE 9 IE 8 IE 7 IE 6 February 26.5 % 0.6 % 16.7 % 5.7 % 3.5 %
5.7% is something we need to accommodate. I don’t think you should have to, but it’s something to be considered.Make note of the fact that those stats are for w3schools’ visitors only. Each site will have different statistics. I’ve read that globally it’s closer to 9%.
I would agree, though, that it’s still very much worth accommodating. It was the same when we first dropped IE6 .
So, I’ve searched the forums, but couldn’t find an official word for this. Can you confirm that you guys have actually dropped IE6 requirements as well for the themes?
That would just make my day
Is there a way to search for an IE9 ready theme using a category? Regards -
