Author Dashboard: Comments from all sites!

finally this comment issue had been fixed! It was annoying to check themeforest (where I have no items but took the author test) and see no comments, then remember I need to go to a marketplace where I have at least one item to really be sure there are no comments to reply to.

This is kind of strange because I’m been answering comments from multiple marketplaces from the same dashboard for a while. Or have I just been in the twilight zone?

this was quite a strange bug indeed.

to clarify. you can see the author dashboard on a marketplace only if you took the test for that marketplace. If you take the author test for audiojungle for example you will see your author dashboard with all the info and comment reply on that website even if you didn’t add a music item. But at some point comments stopped to appear in the dashboard on a marketplace where you got the author test but NO items yet.

Why this was annoying but not everyone noticed?

Well, it depends of your browsing habits. For example, in the past I spent my of days on activeden and graphicriver, then at some point switched to themeforest and videohive. I log in to themeforest principally. But I have no items here yet. My first step after login is to check the dashboard. But comments bug appeared some time ago and every time I had to switch to videohive to see the comments. Annoying

authors were asking for the item comments on the author dashboard to be across all sites (rather than just for the site you’re currently looking at).

If you have items on graphicriver, activeden, videohive while in the dashboard of any of these marketplaces you saw the comments for ALL of them. if you have no items on themeforest you saw no comments at all while you are in the dashboard of this last marketplace.

Hopefully now is fixed.

I may have been in twilight zone too – I only check codecanyon author dashboard – I was certain I’ve been handling themeforest comments from there. Maybe not. haha! oh well.

The author dashboard is a complicated beast, anything is possible, but we’ll clean it up slowly.
