It’s better to look at small hosting companies they usually cost more but they have more time for support and updates because of their small client base.
Also have a look at webhostinggeeks.com spend some time reading customer ratings to see if the hosting company is the one for you.
There’s not much you can do, if you read the GPL that comes with the theme you’ll see in section 15 it says this:
15. Disclaimer of Warranty. THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE PROGRAM, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. EXCEPT WHEN OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND/OR OTHER PARTIES PROVIDE THE PROGRAM "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PROGRAM IS WITH YOU. SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.
However this only applies to the PHP files, CSS , Images and JS files usually have a different licence, you’ll have to read them but I’m sure these clauses will be in there somewhere.
It’s not up to TF to make sure the files are “bug” free, it’s unfortunately up to the buyers and/or the sellers…
Send me me a mail through my profile page so can send you working files.
These stats aren’t correct because I’m guessing that you have the site cached, you need to tick cache off (in fiddler) so that you get the correct estimate. You also need to turn on modem emulation, you can also emulate other speeds. You can hack the program to emulate adsl speed (atm its 56k modem by default), a quick Google search will show you what settings you need to change in what file…
Drop me a mail if you get stuck.
KarmaThemes is right, you need to do something about load time, perhaps look into the jQuery .load() function to load in content when needed…
Use Fiddler2 to emulate different line speeds and you’ll see that people with relatively slow internet have to wait a couple of minutes for this to load, this can also count against SEO etc.
Good luck with this one!
Haven’t really browsed around this theme much but one thing that really jumps out is that there’s no logo? Possibly one of the most important things on any website…
Also your search form is a little misplaced (only testing in Chrome), I also noticed that your meta on single posts are padded all wrong…
It would also be a good idea changing the gray background (nav bar included) color to a light gray (like 2% to 5% black on white) or white, at this point in time it looks “dirty/muddy” try keeping it as clean as possibleAlso look at the nav bar and footer heading font size it’s very inline with an H1 or H2… do you really need it to have so much attention on these elements? It’s feels like it’s just messing with the hierarchy of elements
Forgot to add that the social media icons at the tops background colors aren’t consistent, it looks like 5 different shades of gray.
