It’s a feature, not a bug.

Do they even check the update?

Two times I made a mistake and uploaded the wrong package (completely unrelated file) and it made it through the review process.

First thing… Quit my current job and give my boss the middle finger. Then, who knows…

Dude, I hope your boss doesn’t read this.

Ok then buy something with paypal, and ask for my money back and get free file. The person who buys a file if have problems, must contact GraphicRiver support or the author and try to fix the problem. Just my opinion.

IMO, it’s part of the business. Many other sellers provide money back guarantee things. 1%? No, I think it’ll be 3-5% at least. But we have to live with it ;)

This is bad business ethics and you shouldn’t be doing it. How do you know who purchased your template anyway?
Hi Stylius,
Just letting you know, and to avoid any possible misunderstandings, I only send an email once I release a new item (and as I have said before it only happens once a month) , only to who purchased my item AND asked any support for it.

Anyway, I truly understood my mistake, and it will never ever happen again.

Kind Regards,
Bedros

Bedros, read up on CAN-SPAM rules and use a service like mailchimp. You can be liable for “damage” because of spamming. Just because many spammers get away with it, doesn’t mean you can do it and get away with it.

do reviewers really review updates? Two times I submitted wrong updates (wrong item) and it got through the review process.

The banner never disappears. If you reload the page, it’ll come back again. Come on Envato this is getting too annoying.

My earnings page has 8 sales lesser than profile page. Is this something indicative about number of refunded sale?
I’ve had a dig around and this is correct. The profile page is incorrectly including refunded sales in the sales count. I’ve let the finance devs know so they can look into it.

Any insights on how refunded sales work?

11 pages and still no answer from Collis or any of the higher “officials”. C’mon, we need it asap, so we can get into “thanking” phase :D:P

Well it is 1:54 in the morning in Melbourne, so that may have something to do with it :)

The Marketing team is always tweaking and monitoring the Bundle process. They’ve already introduced several different processes to how items are selected etc. They’ll be monitoring this Bundle as well to see how the longer sales period works. Thanks!

and if it works, there will be a 1 month bundle?

Bundles can be quite lucrative. I remember the first (or second) bundle, the sales were in the $200K range. That might have lured Envato into making more bundles to cash some money. Here is my suggestion:

1. One single birthday bundle which gets huge promotion. It’s supposed to sell a lot and limited to few days.

2. Permanent bundles. Items in bundles get no support and no updates. The bundles also get no promotion but there will certainly be an area to browse the different bundles. This can serve as exposure to many authors. Once the buyer like the item, they can buy it for support and updates. The bundle costs $20, so the buyer is more tempted to buy the stuff.

Once he buys, he gets to discover the items and if he likes, he’ll probably opt for updates/support.
