Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of great designers have this cargocollective portfolio site. I think those are awesome and would love to get one like these ….

Thanks man! I also think this is NOT following trends like we see them a lot on graphicriver … less effects and filters and stuff. I think it’s pretty different.

I’ll try to rework it a bit maybe sometime … but don’t know yet if I will invest more of my time in GR when the accepting policy works like this (accepting items on their personal taste). I’m going to make some themeforest/web items and try that out maybe.

I liked how my 2 items made me almost 100$ in 2 weeks though. I don’t understand when reviewers look at this they don’t understand that this file could make that also.

Try the lynda.com tutorials. They are awesome to learn from. The ones about css are really good and easy to understand.

Also using a good editor when you are writing code can help you a lot.

For example … if you own a mac, you should try out CssEdit. It can use pre-formatted pieces of css just by using the wysywig editor that’s build in. By using this for a while you will more easily learn the css properties out of your head.

I don’t want to give the impression that I’m angry with the reviewer because I’m not. I don’t think it hurts to mention who he is because I don’t have bad feelings about him. I just completely do not agree with the way this is happening. If the overall design feel of a flyer is ok, you can not choose to accept some flyer to GR and some other flyer not because that’s just a matter of personal taste. Also the layers in my files are all 100% reusable artwork because they are all vector shapes and can be scaled and I do think this file is worth it’s money.

This doesn’t mean we won’t ever accept another file like this, it just means that if you want to …

When people are shopping here for a flyer, giving them more items to choose from is only postive. For some people all party flyers may look the same but for a real buyer every event he’s doing is unique and he wants the flyer that suits his event best.

You can’t expect from your authors on your marketplace (the ones who make you money) to just submit items that only get accepted when it’s the perfect hit on the taste of the reviewer.

And I really don’t appreciate the fact I am not getting decent feedback and they asked to not to upload again. The answer I got from the support ticket was short, useless, not personal and a total waste of time.

thanks a lot for your shoulder tap! Since more people are telling me they like this one a lot and telling me it’s nice because of the clean minimal style … maybe I should consider uploading it again before I go trough a dramatic change that will probably only screw things up.
