hi proportional thumbnails is thumbnails in the gallery that are loaded in proportion to the size of the photo or graphic.. so say the photo is 640×480 than the thumbnail to this photo would be in proportion to the size 640×480..not say a force 200×200..so the photo keeps its main dimension..Im finding that building sites for photographers and artist types I run in to this all the time..and there are solutions out there of course..but in searching activeden I dont see it much and would like a xml based flash gallery with this..Sike says I can comment out his main.as file for a gallery I bought from him but..Im not sure as how to code it..See..im a freelance web developer but I use activeden and envato to get things to speed development and Im not that good with Actionscript and flash..im versed in CSS html php and now ruby on rails..but even if..the best thing about envato is you get a file to help save you time and speed a project along..thats what is so great..:)

Then as3 reviewers should install the debug player and reject all the as3 files that don’t handle the i/o error events et similia. It’s so annoying to have error messages to pop up every time…

I also think this is very important.

Well, are 3 years now that I’m developing in as3 and I can say that I’m good at it. For different reasons, we’ve published mainly as2 files (I’m busy, so many times is Kent developing the as2 code, he doesn’t know as3).

Honestly I don’t see any problem or limit with as2, really. Everything we wanted to do was possible with as2…and, to be honest, as3 has had very bad performance issues caused by the gc. Giving an as3 template to people without skills could be problematic, especially if they want to load external swf etc… it’s matter of seconds to destroy the performances of an as3 file.

Then, I remember a commercial of Pirelli tyres: “power is nothing without control” :)

oh. :)
