Zeplix saidI believe it has to do with the low prices on Tuts+. Getting a $2.1 referral on a $7 item isn’t something most affiliates would bother with, I think…

Surely the price can’t be it, since often enough GraphicRiver items gets “taken”, but they are in average about the same 6-9 price, no?
I can think of a few reasons why, but doesn’t mean I like it

I’m always sad Flash seems to be going out
It had such massive potential
not to mention that it was a designer-friendly option for web (granted, you need coding to get into the hardcore stuff, but still, so much could be done simply with the interface).
I remember when Flash first came out… I didn’t even mind waiting 5 minutes for those massive websites to load, because man, they were so beautiful
So much creativity on the web back then… I miss it.

I haven’t followed the news really, but I thought it came out a week ago or so? Not planning on upgrading for another 1-3 months, so could totally be wrong
But pretty sure I saw a Trial (not Beta) for Photoshop CS6 a few days ago on Adobes website

You may want to speak to Amanda over at Tuts+ Premium. She’s always looking for good teachers and screencasters.
Hey KingDog, I did say a few replies back that I am already in contact with Amanda though
But even so, that’s like saying “Well, my car broke down, but I really like apples!”
Got nothing to do with each other
I’d just like a little update on where the Tuts+ Marketplace is standing at the moment, what Envato thinks about it, what their plans are, and such

Good point about Liquify, Zeplix, glad you said that. Force of habit means I tend to go straight to Warp in a lot of cases, but Liquify would almost certainly be better for this.
Not at all, I could definitely see the warp tool having it’s uses here. In fact, I think the warp tool might be able to create a better effect if you are more skilled at using it, though I think the liquify filter would be more easy to use

That faux pax oil painting cracked effect looks much better in my opinion. I don’t like the latest ammendment.
As far as I understand it, it’s supposed to be a reptile’ish skin texture, not a general texture overlay, in which case it doesn’t really work (even though I quite like that particular texture too, though not necessarily for this image).

I love and hate after effects at the same time
My computer is definitely feeling the pain of getting slightly outdated

Solid advice from davidgoodland there, I agree with everything! I should add you could also use the Liquify tool instead of Warp, as long as you just keep layers turn on, depending on what you’re more comfortable with.
