I was half thinking about opening a post about this one myself but since you did, might as well contribute LOL!

Yeah, it’s been pretty slow to be honest. I have one of the bigger accounts (in terms of portfolio volume) here on AudioJungle (reaching 170+ items) so normally my sales patterns are actually quite consistent. Haven’t had a sale in five days, that hasn’t happened to me since the drought that was January earlier this year. Based on the previous year’s performance I was expecting a slow July but not such a slow June. I’m guessing it’s also because I’ve been a bit negligent to my AJ account recently on account of work commitments and stuff. I’m hoping to start composing a LOT more in July once everything is a bit more settled for me…

Anyway, don’t let it affect you. Find the strength to keep producing/composing and before you know it the sales will start rolling in again.

It’s been done before:

Check it out, he’s done some great work. If you want to donate a song send him an email via his “contact me” box and he’ll tell you what you need to do!

Haha. I usually don’t care much for such topics like this, yet I’m in the same boat. I’ve been a software engineer all my life, but unfortunately I became a victim of crime (violence on the street by 6 youngsters) which led to a coma, brain injury, and more. A lot has changed for me since then; needed to learn to walk again (just one example), but some things I still cannot do; and won’t ever. I cannot play the guitar anymore, and my job as a software engineer is history as well. The brain just functions different now; kind a hard to explain. Luckily music was another passion of mine, so I go for that.

Anyway, enough about me. I liked the thing you did with the memes :) I was like “meh” until I saw the first cats-meme. You just earned yourself a like/follow there :). I could use some too, to get a kickstart. You’d be the second follower :p.

Best wishes and happy composing, /|\ Coriiander /|\

Hey man, that’s awful! I assumed that the Netherlands was pretty safe (one of my closest friends is from there) and I’ve passed through a few times but goes to show crime can happen to anyone when they least expect it.

I hope you many sales and welcome to AudioJungle!

Sorry it hear that man!

This problem is bound to hit more successful authors more often as you guys have more sales. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be for a newbie who still doesn’t know how much s/he can make here and then seeing such a loss (heck I can imagine that for some such a loss months after may even result in a negative balance).

Still, it’s an awful system and something needs to be done about this! All authors, big and small, should be protected from internet piracy and whatnot. It was mentioned in my thread last month that our unwatermarked tracks can be a useful source of income to someone willing to sell it on other marketplaces!

I’ll be very interested in SchwartzSound’s new report next month. I suspect people produce a lot less in the “summer” and a lot more in the “winter” (forgive the quotation marks LOL, now that I live in Australia I realise a lot of people live in the Southern Hemisphere and that the seasons are the opposite from the northern one!)

Last year in June we had one day approvals for a week or so. I think that may very well happen in a few weeks!

Holy guacamole! I just read your profile in IMDB. That’s insane man! Very cool stuff. I love how you do so many parts in the film, it must be so fantastic to get your vision fulfilled on so many different levels!

Next thing we know you’ll also be doing the costume design and special FX for the films too… and then acting in them… and then a noble prize… the sky is the limit man!

Tortoise Tree is a team, but we’re not a top author (yet LOL)! At one point we were seven!! But actually I (Antonio, the first one listed in the description) provide most of the tracks and run the site. Actually there is a fair argument to going it solo, you develop a style that customers look for and they begin to identify you with it.

Jaime I think you’ve started a new trend here. You guys did a great job, my comment on your song says how I feel, and it really came through that the chemistry was really good. I think that it’s also great that you two talked first and knew who your influences were and what type of sound/feel is best.

I think collaboration is one of the best ways to learn and I think one of the best ways to do it is to co-write with someone else who writes in a completely different way to you. I would love to see a forum or discussion board area where someone can go “Hey, looking to write a great reggae song! Need a killer steel drums solo!” Then someone posts “Yeah I can do it!”

Guys we need to make this happen!

Hey man.

Firstly, Yes seen Iron Man 3… Loved it! Not yet seen Star Trek, wanting to see that soon.

Yeah it would be cool to grab a beer with some other composers here on AudioJungle, if there are any other Sydney-siders here hit me up!

It’s like we all work in a giant office and it’s a shame we can’t hang out in the weekends. I’m pretty sure even doing non-music related stuff would be cool with the guys here. I actually came from an environment where everyone was a musician and am now in one where virtually no one is, as I’ve returned to the world of engineering. I still carry around this M-Audio 25 key Midi-Input keyboard and my friends are surprised when I pull it out to work on something in my free time!

As for me, this arrived to me on a Sunday and sadly I am working today. Not gonna bore you all with information about concrete and steel reinforcement but yeah…

Anyway, hit me up if any of you are in Sydney or are passing by and we can get a beer!
